Well, My Dear Chess Friend did blunder badly but I think you can imagine my Joy and Happines when I found the move. Yes, I am a sucker for bragging and neat finishes.
The name of the checkmate pattern is Boden's Mate. You can find another example of it, albeit not forced, in the first problem in October 2 "Lesson of the Week", which is from a brief victory that I gained at the Eastern Washington Open last October 1.
Wow - that's a position straight out of the tactics books. It's a very pretty mate, isn't it? :)
