Testing My New Toy

The game was a little interesting an also very frustrating. After consulting with my silicon friend I realize that winning the won position was really hard work and probably beyond me. However, the loosing blunder was found amazingly fast.

Please note that you can step through the game using the arrow keys.

  1. The HTML code obviously does not work properly. Crap! Anyone with Blogger + Aquarium experience?

  2. I've not tried it in anger, but seen it working on a few sites.

I've used CA10 to generate HTML and it works fine, but I think you are using the 'blog' option in Aquarium, and that works differently.

Is this just the plain code generated by it ? Maybe I'll give it a shot

  3. Yes, I just copied the HTML provided by Aquarium and added a few lines of HTML code to my template as suggested. Would you like to see the raw HTML?

  4. Oh, it might be the iBook code if I remeber correctly!

  5. I tried and failed....now I have the publish, Option, Web Export, Options button unable to move from Almaz piecs and boards !

I can see the HTML in my browser :) but I'm not the expert, so its not much use.

After Saturday chores I might have a play around with it.

This blog (http://bdgpages.blogspot.com/) used to use Aquarium, but I see is now Chessbase, but you never know !. I'm sure I've seen others

  7. You are not alone. To help out, I put up a complete how to publish with Aquarium post:

  8. Ah, you also have a later version of Aquarium than me ( I have last years !

Glad it worked out,and it looks neat.

  9. "I am a Material Boy...."

Yes it does! Chessflash is almost as neat but I thing Chessflash is a better option unless I can get the "buttons" to work. Much more convenient to click on the same spot for moving the pieces.

  10. You can also just hit the right and left arrow keys to step through the Aquarium game, after you've clicked on one of the moves, same as with Chessflash. I understand that the next Aquarium update will also improve the game publishing features.

I use Chessflash for games not originally analyzed in Aquarium, for those it works very well. The problem with the Aquarium games in Chessflash is that the evaluation numbers don't carry over to PGN format well (at least on my system).

  11. How about changing numerical evaluation to symbols (I got the impression that you can do it automatically?)? Does that work any better?
