Indeed! It is amazing that there are a few of us still waiting for GM norms given all the book titles and their claims which are not far behind the claims and promises by most religions.
I've just purchased it and it's pretty good for the average chess player (up to 1900 elo I'd say), as it's packed with no-nonsense advice.
I like the "let's get back to the basics" approach of Nigel Davies, however, it doesn't really cater to the ambitious amateur (who aims at, say, 2200 elo), as the methods he advocates are rather traditional ones.
They certainly are coming up with better and better titles for chess books aren't they? Looking forward to your review.
